CEO Letter: Your Financial Partner
for Life
Mar. 28, 2019CEO Letter: Your Financial Partner for Life
Mar. 28, 2019
Many of our members were affected financially by the partial government shutdown earlier this year. As your financial partner for life, First Digital offered furlough loans and skip-a-pay opportunities for those affected by this shutdown. We made 20 loans for close to $90,000 and 4 skip-a-pays. We were glad to be able to help those members balance out their cash flows through the shutdown.
In keeping with partner for life, First Digital participated in a Schoolhouse Supplies fundraiser. Schoolhouse Supplies provides backpacks and school supplies to students in four school districts.
Last year they helped 20,000 students get school supplies they otherwise wouldn’t have had, removing a crucial barrier and stress to learning. Schoolhouse Supplies also has a free store for teachers to get classroom supplies, all donated by local businesses and private citizens. In March a group of First Digital employees spent a portion of their Saturday, volunteering to prep and pack supplies for the next round of distribution.
Over the last couple of years, we have remodeled three of our four branches to better serve our members. During the months of March-April we will be freshening up our final branch in the Ross Complex of BPA. This should be complete by mid-April.
We continue working to serve the community, strengthen the credit union and add new financial products in our ongoing efforts to be your financial partner for life.
